The Filmjoint has opened submissions for the 2027 editions of The Filmjoint Premieres and The Filmjoint Awards.

Both programmes will take place in April 2027, with the exact dates to be announced. The organisers will announce exact dates later.

The Filmjoint Premieres screens unreleased short films before a live audience. Eligible films must run for between five and 30 minutes and must not have been released or screened publicly.

For the Premieres, submissions opened on August 20. The early-bird deadline is September 20, followed by the regular deadline on October 30, the extended deadline on November 30 and the late deadline on December 20. Selected filmmakers will be notified from December 28.

Filmmakers can submit their entries for The Filmjoint Premieres through FilmFreeway.

Meanwhile, the Filmjoint Awards recognises short films across acting, directing, writing, cinematography, editing, production design, costume, sound and other categories.

Award submissions also opened on August 20 and will close on October 30. The process will continue through nominations, voting and jury selection ahead of the April events.

The Film Joint, founded in 2022, focuses on the exhibition, recognition and distribution of short films.
