The immersive stage production Closure Is for Wigs is set to feature at the 2026 Lagos Fringe Festival, with performances scheduled for November 7 and 8 at the J. Randle Centre, Lagos.
Written by Amioluwa Popoola and created by Mayowa Daramola, the 45-minute interactive play follows Soji, a man who invites his ex-girlfriend to dinner under the guise of celebrating his 30th birthday. However, what begins as a seemingly ordinary evening soon develops into an uncomfortable conversation about love, betrayal, sacrifice and unresolved relationships.

The two-character production seats audience members within the dinner itself, allowing them to experience the unfolding confrontation up close. The Lagos Fringe appearance follows an earlier staging at Immersia, where it reportedly received positive audience feedback.
Speaking about the production, the executive producer Mayowa Daramola described it as one of the most engaging stories he has created, noting that audience reactions have made it particularly memorable. Director Olubori Ojo also described the story as one that holds personal significance, pointing to its exploration of closure and relationships.
The production features Nimi Adekambi and Mayowa Daramola, with Olubori Ojo and Mayowa Daramola serving as directors. Julia Brisibe, Mfon Abassi, Michael Inyang, Desmond Ekunwe and Ruth Harcourt are credited as co-producers.
The two performances will begin at 6 p.m. on both days. Tickets are available at ₦10,000 for regular admission and ₦20,000 for VIP.
